| I'm placing an order of SaveMyBug Oil Temperature Sensor next weekend, if you fancy one and want to split the shipping charges then register your interest here on this thread. Have a couple of guys interested at present. If you want to know more about the Oil Temperature Sensor, please visit the web link below; http://www.savemybug.com/index.htmIf we could get 10+ orders, they'll give us 50% discount on the list price. So the more the cheaper. Shipping from US to Pak will be actual amount charged divided by the total # of SaveMyBug . I will to try and post back out to you guys as cheaply as possible, so keep a ball park figure of PKR.150/- in mind for Pak postage, while ordering. To help your decisions; I've worked the numbers with Greg Brown (SaveMyBug / USA) and looks like one SaveMyBug would roughly cost PKR. 3,000/- (give or take PKR. 100) delivered to your door; which is CHEAP, keeping in view that this product will help save your engines by keeping an eye out for you, in the cockpit. I hope this helps. Last date to register interest for SaveMyBug is: March 08, 2014To order, you can simply add your username to the below list to order one. If you want more than one, please put quantity next to your username. For instance in below list, I am ordering three for my VWs... 01. rustbus x3 02.

| Since this shares the oil pressure light, some of you might be wondering how one is going to distinguish if its low pressure or hot oil temperature once the light goes on. I asked the same question from Greg at SaveMyBug and here is what he had to say: - Quote :
Ray, to err on the side of caution we recommend that you assume you've lost oil pressure once the light comes on.
However, with the Sensor, as the oil approaches 230-235 degrees, it will begin to "flicker" the light due to the vibration of the engine. Since that is not a characteristic of low oil pressure it really is possible to distinguish the two.
And continuing on that thought, since either reason would illicit the same reaction, slowing and pulling over, we're comfortable sharing the light. Now, if the light goes out as you're slowing down then it's logical to assume the problem was heat, not oil loss, since the light would remain illuminated for the low oil pressure.
But again, if the light is on solid then we suggest pulling to the side and first looking at the Sensor position. If it's touching the screw-head then it's grounded out and is illuminating the light. By removing the Sensor - which can be done without disconnecting the wire - you can double check that there's still oil too.
I hope that answers your question.

| For reference they work straight out of the packet but can be calibrated if required. Also, it's worth marking the dipstick part for high and low oil levels with a needle file (just marks not all the way through the tube!) using the marks on the stock dipstick as a guide. Cheers |
