First topic message reminder :

Patina is no more an unfamiliar term to the AC VW community of the country, neither is the 1965 Ratlook Type-1 which bears this nickname.

The story began on Pakwheels.com 1965 Volkswagen Type-1 (Beetle) D.I.Y. Project (o\_!_/o) And is still ongoing with the recent accomplishment of a 2000KM roundtrip to snowy Bhurban. I will update this introductory post later to add more details. For now lets carry on the story here on these dedicated ACVW forums that we've now available.

Stay tuned.

But these are not going to be the only mirrors on patina. The Albert Swan Neck mirrors are already here to go on as well. Wink

For reference they work straight out of the packet but can be calibrated if required.
Also, it's worth marking the dipstick part for high and low oil levels with a needle file (just marks not all the way through the tube!) using the marks on the stock dipstick as a guide.

Eventually!
Alongwith the OG RHD floor mats, the lowered 2" narrowed beam landed today as well, for Patina

Patina is now sporting wide5 Speedwells...and has sat long enough. its time to drive it a little.
Sent the battery for a recharge as couldn't find my quick charger (everything seems to have been dislocated since I have been busy elsewhere).
Will pick up the battery in the morning and will drive Patina home from its hide out and would put in the new RHD OG floor mat that I have brought in for Patina alongwith some other chores.

Time to put on the tiny bits which were always missing on Pakistani bugs!

The Oil Bath Air Filter Flap (thanks Roland / autoshoppingcenter.com) & the Generator (Dynamo) Dust Cover.
